Process Operation Audits

Significant benefits can be realized by analysing process operation, constraints, bottlenecks and control loop configurations.

 

IPCOS analyses process data and combines its findings with interviews and with information obtained from key operations staff on site. This results in an in-depth understanding of process constraints, operational challenges and business requirements. Based on this analysis, the IPCOS team improves PID loop performance, identifies process bottlenecks and implements the required control improvements to better handle these constraints and bottlenecks.

 

This activity is non-intrusive and requires only a small investment. Specific process problems can be addressed, and solutions proposed and deployed in a short time period. The payback period of these services is typically in the order of 3 to 6 months. The final project report also highlights optional future actions that can result in additional benefits. These studies are often used by operating facilities to justify installations of large scope APC solutions.
