APC Application Maintenance Projects

To sustain the maximum benefits from an APC implementation, it must perform to its objectives 100% of the time. To sustain the benefits year after year, the application should be maintained regularly to ensure that it stays optimally tuned and continues to represent the current plant's operational objectives, constraints and targets. In addition, regular maintenance can detect any potential areas requiring attention well before they become critical.
Customers very often rely on internal resources for the maintenance of existing APC applications. Due to changes in a customer's organisation, such as staff attrition, the required APC maintenance skills might be lost over time. IPCOS is able to fill those gaps in order to sustain the benefits from the APC applications. IPCOS has a large customer base for these maintenance activities, mainly for DMCplus controllers (Aspentech technology).
IPCOS' typical maintenance package includes two site visits per year to check and maintain the APC systems implemented. The 'health check' does not interfere with plant operation. IPCOS reports on the health of the applications, including performance details and recommendations for improvements.
IPCOS is able to provide an appropriate application maintenance package based on the APC installed base and the customer's resource availability and requirements.
