Glass@Max
A specialty of IPCOS is its services for the glass industry. The office of IPCOS in the Netherlands has its roots in this business area. The people that started IPCOS have been the first in executing successful model predictive control applications in glass manufacturing in the early eighties.
Since 1974 we have been involved in a broad range of projects around glass manufacturing:
ranging
from the design of electric furnaces for the production of borosilicate
glass to the multivariable control of quartz glass tubing lines. Our
people have executed control projects for tubing lines (both Vello and
Danner), forehearths (for light bulbs, TV screens and tubing lines) and
melters (TV screens).
Currently business development, project execution and product development for the glass industry is done in very close cooperation with TNO (see partners).
IPCOS offers state of the art Advanced Process Control solutions to the glass industry based on 3 ready to use systems (Melter@Max, Feeder@Max and Tubingline@Max)
