Shell Global Solutions International and IPCOS sign three-year contract for development and installation of next generation Oil & Gas field optimization solutions

HOUSTON - Shell Global Solutions International BV and IPCOS today announced they have signed a three-year joint development and implementation contract for worldwide development and roll-out of the new releases of Shell's FieldWareTM product suite. FieldWare is the Oil & Gas real-time monitoring, surveillance, optimization, control and asset integrity application suite globally used by Shell operating units. Company officials valued the agreement at $5.6 million. Since 1998, IPCOS has worked closely with Shell Global Solutions in the research and development of previous releases of the FieldWare suite of software applications. This software suite is successfully operating at both Shell and non-Shell production facilities in Oman, Brunei, Gabon, Venezuela, Nigeria, USA, the Netherlands and the UK. The FieldWare suite of applications is currently available for non-Shell operated assets through Shell Global Solutions.
