IPCOS and BGIF (Beijing Glass Instruments Factory) sign the agreement for the installation of TubingExpert on a Boro-Silicate tubing line for BGIF in Beijing

Beijing Glass Instrument Factory (BGIF) is a leading borosilicate glass manufacturer in China with a history of 46 year. BGIF operates five Vello tubing lines and two Danner tubing lines. The company wants to improve tube dimension quality, especially in reducing tolerances of wall thickness and diameter. At the moment the tolerance of outside diameter is according to ISO-standards but not satisfactory for high-end customers. At the same time production yield should be increased and production should be more flexible to meet the demands of drastic market competition. BGIF decided to apply TubingExpert for the production of high accuracy borosilicate glass tubes and increasing both yield and production flexibility.
The project is based on the existing facilities, which should be modified to meet TubingExpert APC requirements. It is estimated to complete the project in June 2004.
