IPCOS and Stamicarbon start Sirius@Max© implementation at OCI Nitrogen

On January 10th, IPCOS and Stamicarbon kicked off a Sirius@Max© implementation project for the Urea production facility at OCI Nitrogen in Geleen, the Netherlands, in cooperation with Sitech.  This project was initiated following a feasibility assessment that was performed for OCI Nitrogen, which showed that the implementation was technically feasible and would provide significant benefits to OCI.
Sirius@Max© is the innovative solution for Urea production optimization, developed by IPCOS and Stamicarbon.  It combines APC technology and Real Time Optimization and will optimize the key operating parameters of the plant whilst keeping the operation within plant constraints.
The Sirius@Max© solution at OCI is currently expected to be commissioned before the summer of 2012.
